I remember the awkward years when as a
parent, you try so hard, because you are so proud of your child,
having reached sufficient size to appear like a adult.
However there response to your interest
in there lives is cold and passive.
Development experts say this is normal
and even a required part of breaking away to become their own person.
But it seems to me to be a cruel and
ugly response to years of nurturing.
However
If you are lucky and live long enough
it all comes back with much more then you gave.
